Occupation/interests:
Worked 33 years for the City of East Moline and retired March 30th 2007 as a tradesman! Was named employee of the year in 1976, I had the oppurtunity to either work at John Derre Or the City! I was hired at the same time, the reason I picked the city over John Derre was at the time I needed to get glasses,to work for John Derre and the city hired me with out having them at the time. So I picked the city which ended up being my best choice! There was a big lay off in 1980 and it took along time before the people working there even got there jobs back! So thank God he guided me in the right direction! Being able to work for the people of East Moline was a great pleasure too me. My father which is Adolph owner of Adolph's Taco House's offered me a restraunt as long as I did not spend the money I maded on racecar's! He told me if I wanted to do something like that I need to get a job somewhere else if I wanted to do this kind of thing's! I respected my father for his word, I remember him telling me before he died that he was proud that I did what I wanted to do, although I would be more wealthier I was able to support a family of 5 on my own! i drag raced for 25 year's and had a great time doing it! As well as I coached at Moline High School for 7year's in Football from 2000 to 2007!!!! Coach youth football from 1990 to 1999 and A.S.A Girls fastpitch Softball from 2005 to 2008 for the Quad Cities Firebird's! My grandaughter Tera pitched 12u and 14u her nickname was juice 27 and Madison Joe jr. daughter pitched i year for the 10u QC Shockers which I coached her and she pitched also, her nickname was little Juice 27!! Madison played her last year for the 10u QC Firebird's also!
